| I recently bought an old 5 hp Troy-Bilt Super Tomahawk Chipper Shredder. The thing starts right up but as I try to engage the chipper with the lever, the engine stalls. The guy I got it from had no problem engaging during my demo, but I can't seem to get the hang of it.
Would loosing the tension on the idler wheel help? Should I put some silicon on the outside belt that touches the idler wheel? Perhaps I need to lube some things. I don't have an owners manual, so I'm kind of lost in that department. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. |

| Try leaving the choke 1/2 closed 'til the engine gets up to speed. Mike |

| Mike, Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try this week and let you know how it goes. Bob |
