Ok you guys are always a wealth of information. My Poulan 3100 20" chainsaw runs wild can't get it to idle think its bought the farm. I have a new bar 20" and several good chains that fit that bar. I am looking at Husqvarna, Stihl, Dolmar/Makita saws. Ideally a saw that will accept the 20" bar and chains. At least the chains that are 325 pitch 50 gauge. Any of you know what saws take the 325/50 chain and if the bar will fit any of the above saws? I hate to think of buying a new saw and scrapping the bar and chains. I would like at least 16-18" and be able to swap out for the 20" for cutting cord wood.
