Tom: Rubbermaid makes a quality Professional Grade unit (RCP 7802) approx $50.00 almost indestructible. Top removable tray for Sockets and separate lower compartments for pliers and pipe wrenches or crescent's or screwdrivers..etc. This unit has provision for locking also .

How about a 'Bucket Buddy', one of those
pouches that hang on a 5 gal. bucket?
Plus you can put all kinds of stuff in the
bucket. They even make removable trays for
the buckets.

I think we are thinking a similar thing with the removable tray. The CLC people make the bucket buddy type things, plus- I don't know 50 plus different combinations. Some with trays, some without. I don't really know how they hold up. They would be quiet inna vehicle though. I've got like a 18"x12" place to tuck this thing. So, maybe the sockets fit in the tray.

Another advantage of the bucket is that
you can fashion, or buy a top, so that
you can use it as a stool to sit on.
And.. .if you are ever somewhere and
