tecumseh engine gas leak

| I have a 25 year old 5HP sear snow blower htat is leaking enough gas to smell up my garage, I have rebuilt the carb but that does not seem to have helped.
Any suggesstions?? |

| If it is leaking from the carb, you need to re-visit that repair. What parts did you replace, did you clean the rest of the fuel system and did you have questions of anything you've done so far? |

| I agree if you smell gas it is coming from a seaping fuel hose or a weak needle spring or seat? Or if may even be a hair line crack in the gas tank? I would replace any rubber fuel line if it has one. look at the fuel needle seat with a magnifing glass. If all is good then I would install inline fuel shut-off valve between the tank and the carb. Then you can cut the gas off to the carb. If you storying it in a garage connected to your house IMO its a safety item anyway Especially if you have any natural gas and pilots like a water heater???? |
