Convert cc to HP

OK, we all know that the days of buying something based on HP are gone and now it's "cc." Found this site which actually does a pretty good job of explaining it and actually explains how three identical engines from the same Mfg. can have three different HP ratings.

essentially, 25cc equates to one HP, the HP number can then go up or down depending on "engine tuning."

If correct, that's simple enough for me to remember.

RE: Convert cc to HP

Not very accurate. (cc = cubic centimeter and is a measure of the displacment) It is the surface area of the piston multiplied the lenght of the stroke. Horsepower in an English unit for power, SI unit is the watt. Basicly means the size of the engine. It is one component of power but rpm, compression ratio, fuel intake also play a major role.
