8hp snowblower sat for ~5 years, running again. suggestions?

I put on a new carb and changed the oil (and changed the auger belt). It runs well and blows snow. During the oil change the stuff that came out did not seem like oil. It seemed like watery, goopy, bluish sludge. The oil filler cap has a dipstick attached and the freshly changed oil appears on the dipstick to be... I can't explain it... I want to say watered-down but I am not sure this is possible or accurate.

Anyway, can you tell me what happens when this type of engine sits for a number of years and if there is anything I should do? I thought about another oil change but I wonder if there is some sort of cleaner I can run through or a way to completely empty the old "oil" out.

Or should I just run it and change the oil after a few hours of run-time?
