Craftman stalls every time I let out the clutch in neutral. Starts fine, but stalls every time I try to let out the clutch and changed into any gear other than neutral.

This is a Craftsman Lawn Tractor 18.5 HP, 42" Mower, electric start, 6 speed transaxle. Has been sitting for over a year when starter went out. Just replaced starter. Started right up, but now won't stay going when I try to press the clutch and go into gear.

Mine just started doing that.

It was the seat switch.
