Rusty - Ain't much info on the inet for that tractor.

But, here's a diagram of a typical 3 blade deck. "Remove" the extra l/h idler pulley - it might help you get a belt routing worked out.

RE: Belt routing idea for Rusty

Thanks for the picture! I'll try your plan on it. I went down to the mower supply shop and got another belt, but it turned out to not fit, and they won't take it back! I'm about ready to make a "Flower child" necklace out of them all!
I tried to get out of that old ancient tractor repair, but he insisted. Now, i'm into around $48 for belts that don't fit, and one old one that does!
If i can talk him into a trade-in on a Toro-wheel horse that i have here, i'd do it.
but, last year, i tried to talk him into buying a new mower, to avoid this kind of mess, but he wouldn't go for it. But, they could buy two new cars!!
Well, he'll have to wait for monday to arrive! We're having the relatives in for our 2nd Great Grandson's party tomorrow, and i ain't working on that old scrapper!
Meanwhile--the grass keeps growing, and growing and---
Thanks for the help! Rustyj
P.S. Seems like i ought to go out and mow lawns for folks-thats where the money seems to be!
