Simplicity cutting uneven

| Hi, I have a 44" wide Simplicity. This mower has 3 blades, when cutting the grass there is a 6" wide spot in the middle of the row that is 2-3" higher than the rest of the cut. I replaced the blades and still having the same issue. The blades are installed correctly. Any ideas on what is causing this? thanks |

| Front wheel(s) pushing the grass over and deck not pulling it upright enough for a clean mow? Front wheels are normally about 6" wide... IF the grass is leaning in the direction of mower travel, then I'd bet that is what you are seeing. Certain grasses, higher deck settings, stressed turf can add to this problem. Varying your mow pattern might help a bit if the turf is getting a 'grain' to it. I once had a front floating deck on a rear-steered rider (it drove almost exactly like a forklift) and it had the sweetest cut as the deck was the first thing to touch the grass to be mowed. The tractors wheels only touched the grass after it had been cut. I've never gotten that good of a cut from any other rider. |
