| Does anyone know if a starter could be the cause of dead battery? |

Well, if there was something wrong in the ignition or compression areas, and you used the starter a lot, trying to start the engine and it didn't, then yes, the starter could cause a dead battery!
But, if the battery isn't fully charged, or older than two years, it is near the end of its useful life, in most cases. |
Best choice for replacing Sears Gold Diehard Battery 27195

| Sears wants $49.50 or so plus my old battery. Are there any other manufacturers out there with a better priced comparable battery? |
