DGT4000 relay identification

While cutting LONG grass I had a fire break out under my Craftsman DGT4000. A relay(?), just forward of the square access cutout on the left side, burned to a crisp. This is the access cutout that has a square plastic cover over it. The part is screwed to the main rail right above the brake pedal shaft. There are four wires going to it. Two are white and two are black. Can anyone tell me what this part and part number are? It's burned, so I can't tell. The parts listing in the manual shows an Operation Presence Relay (81). This is not the part. Sears parts and service couldn't tell me and only offered to send a tech out for $100. :(

Thanks!
