How to adjust valves on Briggs and Stratton 18hp engine?

| How do I adjust the valves on my single cylinder 18HP OHV Briggs and Stratton engine and what are the clearances? Do I adjust them hot or cold?

| Do I warm up the engine to adjust the valves or do it cold? What is the setting for the valves? What should the plugs be gapped at? I have a B&S 25 H.P. engine in my lawn tractor. I think it's a 2002 Craftsman.Thanks. Jim |

| I have a B&S Service Bulletin on your engine. ALL small engines valves are adjusted cold. Address above, remind me as I have lots of inquires. Do need model number. Walt Conner |
