GT235 spraying oil out of carb

There is a very fine spray of oil coming out of the carburator throttle plate and I noticed it because the air filter had oil in it. If left alone it eventually clogs up the air filter and will drip on the floor as if there is an oil leak. Could there be excessive crank case pressure building up and forcing oil out the carburetor? Any suggestions? If it is excessive crank case pressure how can I remedy it? There is no performance problem as the tractor runs great. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Check crank-case breather plate, it might be sticking closed. could be bad rings, too.

In addition you will want to know that things such as dipstick and oil drain are sealing, proper amount of oil, proper weight etc. You could have either a Kawasaki or a Briggs engine in yours. Kawasaki had a bulletin a while back on an air cleaner housing change for that condition. You should check w/ your friendly Deere Service Manager to see if yours has a TSB for that. To add to what Rusty said on the breather, it is also possible that that there is a leak or Obstruction at the block there as well. It is on top between the two cylinders.

How long have you owned the tractor? what engine? have you added oil recently?, how do you check the oil? and if so did you overfill it?
