WIX makes NAPA Gold and CarQuest Blue filters. (identical except for the paint job)
For a NAPA filter, use the last 4 digits of the Wix#
For a CarQuest filter, replace the first 2 digits of the Wix# with 85.
Example. Wix 51348 becomes CarQuest 85348 or NAPA Gold 1348.

I just go to Advance Auto and they have a cross-reference (if you know the OEM part number). They had three different filters that would fit my tractor. I bet the other parts stores have the same.

That's a 2.7" filer.

Single kohler filter 12-050-01 is different from the twin engines. For single you need autozone STP S3512. I have PF52/74 and PH3387 numbers written down, but have not verified they will screw on.

I know for sure the STP S3512 works I installed on my 17.5HP single kohler engine the other day when the super tech ST3614 would not work on single piston kohler.

T-H-E Filter B-0-0-k in the store Cross-references it and another post on this subject you were involved in reference the STP3512 for single kohlers, that's were I got the number from after I brought the ones that wouldn't screw on, no harm done they fit my vangaurd or my other single briggs.

Anyway, For the faint at heart need to strictly use the "exact" filter recommended by the engine manufacture or the LT manfuacture or don't ask for cheap replacements.

You said deere I didn't!!!! I think I was political correct and said LT manufacture! Hee, Hee. I seen those before and shy away from AS filters, why take a chance??, I guess cheap has more meanings than one.

Kohler 12 050 01 oil filter substitutes: Fram PH3614, Supertech ST3614, Motorcraft FL-910-S, Purolator L10241. These have essentially the same size rubber gasket, same diameter body, same height, and have the same 3/4-16 thread. The 12 050 01 filter is used on 18hp Kohler Courage SV471-SV601 & SV541 and others. The Fram PH3614 is also used on 2003 Toyota Tacoma 3.4 liter V6 engine, which may help you find other substitutes. The substitutes have worked fine for me and I see no reason to pay more for the Kohler oil filter. I can buy three Supertechs for the price of one Kohler. I change oil and filter at beginning of the season, when the oil has about 100 hours on it from previous season.

Kohler ZT710 uses oem 1205001S filter . Wix is my Preference # 51045 or any other Manufacturer of your above choices .
