Help with GX345 PTO

Hey all,

I had to remove the PTO on my GX345 so I could replace a bad idler pulley. Now I need to reinstall the PTO, but I am not sure what the torque is for the PTO bolt. I don't want to damage the PTO by being too loose or too tight. Does anyone have any experience with this subject?

Here's what the Warner Clutch service manual says about torque values for the PTO mounting bolt.
If bolt is 3/8" dia (9/16" tool): Torque = 40 to 45 Lb Ft
If bolt is 7/16 dia (5/8" tool): Torque = 50 to 55 Lb Ft.

Manual further stipulates that 3/8" dia bolts MUST BE Grade 8 only.
It states that the 7/16" dia bolts may be Grade 5 or 8 (but I recommend you only use Grade 8).
