| Going to be purchasing a 2011 Exmark Lazer Z "X" series with 52" deck. Anyone using their exmark with a 24HP Kawasaki and using the mulch kit? If so - is the 24HP powerful enough for this task of mulching?
I'm torn because I love the Kawasaki brand, however not sure if 24HP will be enough to run with the mulch kit? I know I can get a 29HP Kawasaki engine if I move up to the 60" deck. I'd rather stay at 52" deck size. For the 52" deck I can get a 24HP Kawasaki OR a 27HP Kohler engine. Anyone using the 27HP Kohler, if so - thoughts on it? Any issues? Don't want this to turn into a flame war re; Kawasaki vs. Kohler - but would like to hear civil pro's / con's for each engine, as I'm torn on which one I should get. I know I will never use the bagger, at times I will use the side discharge chute, other times will use the mulch kit. Thanks for all of your help,

| On a commercial lawn care site I visit, seems generally more positives with the Kohlers (EFI) than the Kawa's, including fuel efficiency. Also, they say you can't have too much HP, nobody ever complained about that. I personally have no experience with either. |

| I own a hustler fastrak 24 kaw with a 54" cut. Originally I wanted the Honda engine but dealer had a Kaw. in stock. The Kaw engine seems to be very strong. I'm pleased with my purchase. Exmarks are good professional mowers. |
