Weedeater 26" Tractor Reverse Adjustment

Posted by concept27 Texas (My Page) on

I have a 3 year old Weedeater 26" tractor. Last season the reverse stopped never really worked well. I have fiddled with belts and cannot get it to engage. The forward gears work fine. Anyone have any experience adjusting the reverse gear on the tractor or know how to do it...step by step or is there a video available. I have searcher for both no luck and the manual is of no help.

Might this have a model number? As I remember they are a friction disc drive. To reverse, the rubber disc must contact the drive plate on the opposite side as forward.
