I hope that it is just stuck and some running will loosen it up. Run it through the gears-give it some run time. If you have confirmed that the trans is in neutral (IE axle not spinning in the hub for example) and there is belt input (the pulley is for sure spinning with the clutch out)- it looks like you're goin' in!

I bow to your insight, I just drove the tractor across my driveway. I did what you said about letting it idle and the tranny warmed up pretty well. I got the shaft to move slightly, more Kroil and idling, and finally out it came! Thanks again for taking the time to answer my post, you're a life saver, Bert.

I have a Sears craftsman GT, Koeller vtwin 22, 6 speeds/50" cut mower. I changed the drive belt and now. Reverse is Forward and all Forward selections are Reverse?????

Looks like you zig'd when you should have zag'd...

new belt routed wrong - running tranny backwards. See if there is a belt routing diagram in yer owners manual.
