| Hello! I am replacing the JD 125 mower drive belt. I have removed the mower deck. But, I am unable to loosen the sheave because it is very tight. Without removal of the sheave I am unable to put the new belt into the belt guild and take the old belt out. Do you have any tips to loosen the tight sheave? See the picture of the tight sheave here. Thank you for your answer. |

| Spray PB Blaster on the the exposed threads and allow time for it to soak in. Repeat PB Blaster application a few times allowing time to soak over a day or so. Electric or air impact gun (NOT air ratchet) to remove nut. After nut is removed thoroughly clean the threads and apply a dab of anti-seize before replacing the nut. |

| If you don't have an impact, ideally you would have a socket w/ a breaker bar or long ratchet. These just are tight. Position the tool so you can hold the arm/ pulley against a block of wood- so you are pushing against something solid. |

| "If you don't have an impact" go to Harbor Freight and buy their electric one for about $40 on sale or $50 if not. You'll need it sooner or later and it works great for car lug nuts. It beats scraped and bashed knuckles and stitches.
