statesman mower deck replacement

I have searched the internet for this question for my old statesman lawn mower. Model number is 4181E94 this mower was made by Roper at one time, it is not made by MTD I already checked with them :). The part number for the mower deck shell is 121664X which is no longer available. Here's my question is there any way to cross reference another mower deck that will mount up to my old stateman or I am just doomed? I've emailed sears but they wasn't any help so I will try here and see if some guru might know. Well, since nobody has answered your question--why not put your engine on some other deck, say a Craftsman mower, connect the controls, and go mow? I'd say you are whipping a dead horse, trying to find a deck from an obsolete mower. Or, break the bank, and enter the realm of new machines, which must be infinitely better than your aging mower.
Buy a new Craftsman! They are good machines, and last a long time with proper care. Then go home, clean up the old machine, and place it on a concrete pedastal out in front of the house, so it can set and watch you mow with a new machine! SHEESH! Rusty Jones

Actually I got a new craftsman lol. I use this old mower for snow plowing basicly and other things around the house. This mower has more of a sentimental value than any thing else belong to my grandfather. Just wanted to fix her back up to her old glory again. :P The motor in it still runs great and the body on it is decent shape. I like to tinker with stuff but the way its looking as of now its a lost cause unless I find a shell in a junkyard somewhere. Thanks for the help
