Hello, I recently got a scotts 20hp 46" mower and the fan over the transmission is missing all the blades. I unscrewed the little Star screws and the pully came right off but I cant get the fan off. Anyone know how this is attached?I have had no luck getting it off and would appreciate anyones knowledege on this. Was also wondering where the best place to get parts for this mower would be.I'm in the Spring,Tx area. The transmission is a peerless 205023 I believe. Thanks!

I would look down around where the fan is mounted to the shaft, for a hidden snap ring, or a retainer of some kind.
I had one that the pulley and fan had just such a snap ring holding both in place. An auto parts store might have what you need.
I needed the pulley and fan for a tranny, and the factory told me it was no longer available, but to try a JD Dealer. That dealer guy fixed me up, with a used pulley from a JD/Peerless tranny! RJ
