| I purchased a Dixon ZTR 361 (1993 model year) and after a new battery & cleaning the carb. , It starts and runs good . But it did not want to move forward or reverse , I adjusted the drums closer to the drive cones and it does move now but I am sure it needs new parts as it is not smooth or even , The top cone has a step wore into it , the lower cone does not have this wear
The dealers that use to sell these near me either will not order parts or work on them . Questions are 1. what are the normal parts that need replaced 2. where do I get parts 3. the little bit of info I have found suggest that there are special tools needed to work on the drive 4. what are the procedures for adjusting the cones Any help is appreciated gbobik gbobik at comcast dot net |

| All parts are available, inexpesively on ebay, most dealers are still able to order if they do not stock the items. I work on the discup drives quite frequently and actually like them. The biggest items you must have to build the drive is as follows. A manual, this is a must if you have no training, 2 cones, possible shaft bearings (2), new chain (short drive and wheel drive). The alignment tool is also a must! Nuetral spring set and also the short (4) springs on the rear of the drive, if you have any other questions you may contact me @ dadzboyz@ruggedwest.com |

| I would not call $90 cones exactly inexpensive. A "step" worn at the small end of the cones is normal. I have some pages plus detailed write ups that may help you if you don't find a manual. I also have some left over new parts. Address below, put in proper format and remind me. Walt Conner |
