kohler engine squealing

I have a 2002 craftsman garden tractor with a 27hp kohler engine. When I first start it there is a loud squeal for about 20 seconds. This only happens after sitting over night. The model number is 917.275287. The tractor runs good but am concerned what is causing this. Would be thankful for any help.

Put some light lube on the starter bendix shaft and see if it helps. Don't use grease or heavy oil.
