I'm having trouble with my 600 series MTD hopping out of forward while driving. It stays nicely in reverse. I've opened the transmission and replaced the spring that supports the ball bearing that keeps the transmission in gear, I've also replaced the rear drive belt - both changes have made no difference in behavior.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look next?
