Craftsman 48' pto belt Comes Off When Engaged

Hi Everyone.

I have a nine year old Craftsman lawn tractor with a 48" deck. Last season I replaced a pully, the arbor belt, and the pto belt. It worked fine all sesaon, including picking up leaves. The pto belt popped off the other day, and I attempted to put it back on last night. The belt seems to be in good condition. (No nicks or shredding). It seemed tight when I put it back on, but it came off again immediately. The pullys spin freely. Any suggestons of what might be wrong. (Besides being a Craftsman)? Also, is there a way to put tension on the belt besides the spring on the pully. You guys have helped me immensly in the past, and all of your advice is deeply appreciated. I mow a tough yard. Mostly quackgrass, chickweed, and dandolions; about two acres total. Hoping it is something simple! Thanks again, guys!
