Hi all i bought a jd lt166 mower with a 42 inch mulching deck the attatched pic is the trans axal which has no serial number sticker on it.
It started to run slow so i bought from the jd agent some hy gaird oil to replace. It still ran slow after 5 mins and when parked up seemed to lose oil now i have read about purging that was mistake 1 i then replaced the cooling fan and drive belt still runs slow.
I have noticed that the pully and fan shaft moves up and down slightly and there is some movement left and right .
I have now split the box to see if there is anything obvious which i cant see anything.
Any ideas on which transaxal i have and what i need to try next. I have just bought some 5w 30 fully synthetic oil but not used that yet.
