| On my 38 Simplicity Mower deck I know the Idler pulley (part #1685150SM) should spin with the mower belt turning it. Does the center of that pulley have a bearing that should spin or is the center stiff and it spins on the bolt that goes through it. It keeps seizing up and I can not tell if that is a frozen piece or just to tight. This deck is on a Broadmoor 1998 or so. If the pulley is solid how loose should the bolt through it be. Thanks |

| An idler pulley should have a functioning bearing. If the pulley were to spin on the bolt, it would wear it out. If there are other idlers on the deck, inspect those as well for noise, sluggishness or roughness. |
