Wont start

Have a Troy-Bilt 16hp. Kohler engine and was changing oil and checking spark plug-showing my wife. We forgot to put the plug wire back on and cranked the engine several times, now it doesnt do anything...no turnover, click. I thought the battery may be dead and charged overnight..but still nothing...Any ideas if I burned something out? I:m still learning.

Check your fuses... with a meter or test light NOT by just looking at them.

If it won't crank or click and all your safety switches like seat and parking brake are working and you're in neutral check both ends of BOTH battery cables to make sure they are clean, tight, and not corroded.

If that doesn't solve the problem then pull the battery and take it to Auto Zone and have them load test it.
