valve adjustment

hi all, im new ta the forum.
i have a craftsman 42", Turbo Cool, 6 speed, model 917.256520 with a B & S 15.5hp OHV engine, model 28N707, type 0173 01 that i need ta adjust the valves on. any help is greatly appreciated. Thank You :)

I have detailed Instructions on adjusting valves plus some helpful hints at address below, put in proper format and remind me model number and what you want.

Mr. Walt,
Would it be OK to contact you about an issue with my son's riding mower? It bent a pushrod on it & while checking it I saw the valve guide had slid up until there is less than 3/16" between it & the spring retainer. While looking on the net for more info there were some past post that you had made on this forum & they sounded very infomative. Your help would be greatly appreciated by me since I 'm the one who's going to have to repair it. Thanks Jimmy
