I have a Craftsman Lawn Tractor, the diode to the PTO clutch is burnt. The PTO Switch is also burnt.

Before replacing the PTO Switch I would like to replace the anti spike diode to prevent any further damage, however I do not want to replace the complete wiring harness.

Can I replace just the diode, and if so what is the value of the diode.

I have re conneted the burnt wires to the PTO without the diode. The tractor starts and runs perfectly, the PTO

will engage when jumped from the connection to the PTO Switch.
