Disregard, I found where the link terminates...on the tension plate on the deck!

Some of the older light gray craftsman lawn tractors were a pain to re-attach to the tractor, but in later years they redesigned the mountings, and made them much easier to take off, and remount. I know that because a friend asked me to help him re-attach his deck to his grey tractor. What a pain that was! Then, a few weeks later, i had to remove the deck to install a main drive belt on a dark green model, and i found that the engineers had simplified the mounting arrangement.

Next door nabor has a newer c-man tractor, sort of tan in color, and he came up tonite to tell me his son had busted the main drive belt! And, the machine was way down in his back yard, with some steep sections-how are we going to get it up those hills??!!
Well, i took my free tractor i got last week, with the hydro tranny, a log chain, and a prayer. Went down, hooked 'er up, got the neighbor to steer his machine, and that used tractor brought it all the way up to my garage!
To think-the other guy gave me the green tractor, because he thought the hydro was going out on it! HMMM.
