belts keep breaking

A friend of mine has a Simplicity Regent, 22hp, 3 blades with a 44 inch cut. He bought it new with a turbo blower rear bagger. He has had nothing but problems with the belt on the blower breaking. He took it back several times to the dealer and they finally told him there was nothing else they could do to help it. Anyone else had problems with this setup and if so, is there a fix?
Thanks

Are the belts breaking clean as if from a sudden shock load or shredding? Possibly something is misaligned due to improper assembly.

If it isn't being overloaded, sometimes a wrapped belt will help in these instances.

I would lean toward this being caused by "shock loading" due to engaging it at too high RPM and especially if the tube had been clogged with clippings from a previous "bag full" event.
Might try to make sure there is not a large clump of clippings remaining in the tube after the bag is emptied before engaging the fan again.
It might also be helpful to engage the deck cutting blades and then reduce engine RPM slightly before engaging the bagger fan, then spool the engine RPM back up to operational range.
