Murray 20HP hydrostatic too slow

Hey everyone, just bought a used Murray 20HP 42" cut riding mower. It is super slow, like it is stuck in first gear. I understand the hydrostatic transaxle doesn't actually shift, but that is how it feels. Reverse works fine at the same speed. It will not slow down or speed up. Any thoughts?
