craftsman tractor stalls

I'm hoping someone might be able to help with this problem.
My craftsman tractor starts fine and runs fine after start up.
When I engage the blades it runs fine. After cutting for 10 minutes or so and filling the bags on my bagger I disengage the blades and the motor starts to cut out slowly until it stalls. If I reengage the blades while it's cutting out the motor will come back and run fine all day. Any ideas anyone?

How about posting the full technical model number from under the seat on a frame decal.
Is this an electric PTO clutch or do you engage the blades manually?

model # 917 273392 and the blades are engaged manually

Are sitting in the seat even SLIGHTLY different when this is occurring?
I'd surmise you seat switch adjustment/plunger travel is on the "ragged edge" of being correct,

Or possibly the chassis ground terminal is loose for the interlock system. Many are fastened above the right rear tire area under the pan on the frame. Others below the fuel tank.
