Replace the ignition delay module. It's a common problem on the 425's. Mine was about $16 a few years ago. If your sitting on the tractor, it's on the left side of the engine in the wiring harness.

Second the time delay module replacement.

It is not an exact replacement, but it is an easy job. I had to make a mount for the new one as it is round, not square, but that was easy. One wire(red that goes to the starter) was not long enough but I just spliced the new to the old, soldered and used heat shrink tubing. Do, by all means replace that before replacing the $275 ignition module.D'Oh!!!
