John Deere 110 tractor PTO stopped

Hi, I was cutting grass for about an hour and all of sudden the PTO quit (the blades stopped turning). I removed the battery and cleaned the electrical connections on some round

electrical unit and it still would not run after I reconnected everything. When I turn the key on, without starting the tractor, I turned the PTO switch on and nothing happens. I would appreciate your help very much, Thanks in advance.

If that machine has the electric clutch, on the lower end of the crank-shaft, it is possible that it has either failed, blown a fuse, a connecting wire has broken off, or some thing else has happened to it. They are pricey to buy, so hope for a simple fix! RJ

Problem has been fixed. I found a wire, along the frame, that had the the bare wire exposed. Got that fixed thanks for your help.
