Not to change the subject, but could Craftsman get any more cryptic with their model numbers? You need a cross reference just to know what kind of tractor someone is talking about.

And yes Metal, Then you could try to figure out whichSears could get more cryptic on their model numbers! At least you can tell the manf. from the first 3 digits on his 25 HP, 54" cut, hydrostatic driven Garden tractor with a Briggs 446777-0244-e1.
Would calling it a Craftsman GT2554H make you feel better?
Then you could try to figure out which GT2554H it was!
