John Deere 185 46" deck adjustment

I replaced the secondary deck belt with a John Deere
belt.My question is how to adjust the extension spring
that goes to the I bolt that adjusts the tension on the
primary deck belt. The secondary belt I replaced was
a after market belt from Tractor supply [100" ] the
John Deere [101"] . This is my neighbors John Deere
and she does not have the manual .

Roy, I don't think that you will be able to make up that inch. Are you having difficulty turning the big nut?

The Big Nut , I like that , was turned on all the way on
to the I where the spring hooks. If this is the way it was
designed to be I will leave it , but I thought it made the
primary deck belt too tight. This is the first John Deere
deck I have worked on other than a 72" finish mower.
