I'm new here. I have a Simplicity 17gthl mower with a kohler horizontal engine that quits after running for a few seconds. It's definitely electrical. I replaced the circuit breaker which was corroded. I also replaced the relay which looked good. Same problem. Now I jumper from 12volt to the engine plug that goes to the points and it'll run all day, but won't charge with the key on. It does charge for the few seconds that it runs without the jumper. Is there another relay somewhere like in the switch or maybe just a bad switch?.......Thanks.........Dave in Wi.
