That Home Depot probably violated store policy. Here, they would never put gas into anything, nor could you drive it.

MTD's can be a great buy if you do your own maintenance and repairs. Otherwise, I'd step up to a more robust machine. Probably anything with a tranny higher than a K46, which would constitute a garden tractor, not a lawn tractor. But if you need a budget machine and can't do the repairs yourself, go look for a good used garden tractor. In the budget K46 machines, I'd say probably Husqvarna is near the top of the heap.

Note to Baymee: Those tractors were on display outside of the store, not inside. Also--how can ya sell a lawn tractor, if ya can't hear it run, and can't try it out?
A static display inside doesn't do much for sales. most folks do want to hear them run, before they hand over the cash. I would. I would not buy one if i couldn't hear it run, or operate it.
Do these words mean anything to you?
"We guarantee it to be good! No need to try it out first, then buy it. Take our word for it!" Ohhh, yeah!
