Murray mower, will this interchange?

I have a Murray 42571x8A with the Peerless tranny and yeah it's junk.

I can get a 46570x8A for free but the tag isn't on the tranny, I know it's a hydro though.

Will this interchange? My wife will kill me if I drag it home and it's the wrong one :)

It looks the same. Both 3/4 " axles I assume?

I can check, would I measure the axle width as it exits the transaxle?

Just measure the outer end of it, where it sticks out of the wheel hub!

Well, this has a happy ending after all!

I found another mower with the 024B tranny on Craigslist for $200 that had a compression issue in the motor. No worry for me as I just need the tranny. Well just for giggles I tried to fire up the "donor" after I got it off my truck. Ended up pulling a plug wire to use a spark tester and the plug wasn't even finger tight, nor was the other one. Tightened the plugs up and vroom vroom!
