Snapper rider stalls under certain conditions

Hi - new here. My church has a Snapper model 7800785 that has these symptoms. Cranks normally and runs great. When I am seated, trans in neutral, blade engaged or not, when releasing the brake, the engine RPM drops to nearly nothing but keeps running. If I rise from the seat, the engine will die completely. While the engine is running (although nearly stopped) I can engage the trans forward and reverse. When the brake is released the RPMs fall off to nearly nothing and the mower will lurch in that direction. Local dealer says the seat switch is good and they told me how to look at the connector and it looks good. Had a new fuel filter 2 months ago. I appreciate a suggestion. Thanks

This is my own post but I found the solution and wanted to post in case someone else has this same problem. It was the Interlock Module - mounted behind the seat on the right (if you are seated). A wiring harness comes in from the rear and 2 -or 3 wires hook up to this thing. I bought my replacement from Sears for about $35. The technicians from Briggsandstratton.com were extremely helpful!
