Troybilt Model 50030 Tiller

I am trying to locate a manual for the Troybilt Model 50030 Tiller (Magna I believe). I have tried the Troybilt website and it isn't available. Any information you can give me would be a great help. The clutch is doing strange things like slipping into reverse. I'm trying to get information on adjustment.

Brokerrookie, I don't recognize the model number or name of your tiller. I also note that you did not sign up to accept emails through gardenweb.

If your Magna is like many Troy Bilt tillers, then the probable problem is that the reverse adjustment bolt is set too low. That's the big bolt that is installed vertically through a spring, located near the reverse disc. It is secured by a jam nut that will have to be loosened, then turn the bolt counter-clockwise and re-tighten the jam nut. How much should it be loosened? Can't tell you. I'd go in increments of NOT MORE than one turn, then test it - in other words, trial-and-error.

If you want to contact me by email and reveal your email address, I will send you more complete instructions. BUT THE INFO I HAVE IS SPECIFIC TO THE HORSE MODEL TILLER.
