| My mom passed away and left my son an Ariens snowblower.
How do we tell what year it was from the serial number? We would like to get a manual for it also. It is a 7 HP and we just do not know what year my folks got it..She spent 200 dollars last year to get new parts and belts on it. It runs just fine, smaller tires with chains. |
Follow-Up Postings:

| take all of the information on the metal,or paper, tag that will be somewhere on the machine, to a reputable, independent mower repair shop, and ask them to try to find out what year it is. Do not go to Sears, or any big box store, as they don't know beans about Ariens, nor do they care about any product except what they try to sell you! Also, if you can find a place that can order parts, or have parts on hand, you must take all of the information contained on the tag/plate/sticker. |
