were do I find peerless parts - help

| my scags 3 wheel front deck mowers axle broke. snaped off aprox 3 inches from wheel end, I am not afraid to open the trans axle and replace the axle but I have no idea were to get parts, and the trans axle tag is long gone so I have no idea what model number it is, there is a manual on line that I can compare pics with and so I have a rough idea of the model. My trans axle is 40 - 42 inches from axle tip to axle tip, Any one no who to order parts from????? I have considered welding this but the location I just do not think it would hold, any one have expereince with this. I have seen the new model of the trans axle for this at a cost of $1300.00, I do not want to spent that. |

| Every peerless transaxle I ever worked on has a metal tag riveted to the transaxle. It should be on the case by the brake disc. Model numbers 800, 900, 920 930 are popular models. Any lawn and garden dealer will be able to look up and order Peerless parts for you. They are easy to work on after you remove the upper case half. |
