Lawn Tractor problem

I have 2011 troybilt pony 17.5hp briggs&Stratton engine 42" deck, I replaced new battery and new starter, turn key and not even a click, when I had bad battery and bad starter atleast i would get a click, there is a fuse under battery 20amp I checked it and it's good, I get power to starter. if I'm getting power to starter shouldn't the starter atleast engage and try to start mower? it would seem problem is between key and battery, could it be selinoid? I don't even know where to look for it. Wife is on me bad cause i undertook this repair. any help would be greatfull

I don't have a schematic but typically-
Jump 12V to the SMALL Terminal of the solenoid.
This bypasses the key, clutch/brake switch & PTO switch.
IF it cranks, your problem is one of those switches or a connection to them.

A similar thread on this forum, the guy said the fuse was good, but it turned out it had corrosion on one of the contacts.
