17 hp vanguard

Oops! valve sticking in top of piston seems to be reason for lack of compression. If I set engine upside down to seperate crankcase, do I need to be aware of internal parts dropping at my feet? engine is 17hp B/S vanguard verticle crank. #312707-0136-E1

certainly appreciate offer, but decision has been made not to pursue repair. fathers are like that some times!
