Better give the flywheel ignition area a good rust removal treatment, and blow the mouse nests out of the engine cooling fins, etc.You will have to remove the flywheel housing, but not the wheel, to do this. Then clean the carburetor out well. Drop the fuel bowl, and clean around the needle valve inlet area. Make sure the float floats, by floating it in a small can of gasoline, overnight. Clean the bowl of any rust deposits. If the carb bowl is held on with an electrical connection, unplug it, and remove the thing that holds the bowl on. A half-inch open end wrench should do it. Clean out the fuel tank and lines. If no fuel filter, install one.
