Just went out to use my '88 Roper to do some mowing and discovered that the spring that tensions the mower drive belt was defective. Having the manual, did a parts search on Google "AYP + part number" and all the parts sources "out there" appeared that offer that part. Ordered one and will be back mowing in a few days.

Roper hasn't been made in a lot of years so it's slick to still be able to find parts.

Thought I'd pass that info along in case anyone wasn't aware of it.
