fuse blew

I have a John Deere La180 with the 54in. deck. was working good when i stopped to move a limb. when i got back on and engaged the deck i pulled the knob and the fuse blew instantly. put 3 new 20 amp fuses in and they blew instantly. do anybody have any ideas before i spend 2 or 3 hundred dollars on a new pto clutch.

You could disconnect the clutch to determine if it's that or elsewhere.
OHM reading on the clutch should be about 2.4 to 2.9 OHMS.
